Join us for a special screening of David Lynch's French American film, Lost Highway, featuring a full live rescore by Late Sea with remixed scenes by AV DJ CHNNLS.
Released in 1997 - and the first of Lynch's ‘Hollywood Trilogy’ - Lost Highway quickly became one of Lynch’s most infamous films, exploring the mind of a man as he slowly loses his grip on reality. Or does he…?
As we dive deeper and deeper into the world of Fred Madison - a brilliant musician who is obsessively jealous of his wife - we start to blur the line between reality and imagination. In true Lynch fashion, there’s no real sense to be made of the storyline, and to try is to miss the point.
This one time screening will be underscored by Late Sea, the NY based ambient avant-rock sensation that recently won the Kevin Spacey Foundation award for their multi media project, The Writers Trilogy. The band is lead by composer and multi instrumentalist Izzy Gliksberg with Sam Nester on trumpet and laptop and Joe Peri on drums. They will be joined on stage by AV artist and Little Cinema founder, CHNNLS, who will remix, extend and enhance moments in the film, live and in tune with the band, further blurring the line between film, music and video art.
