From it’s star studded pre-show to the exclusive Cynthia Erivo Greek performance, Genius: Aretha world premiere was more than your average opening night. ✦ Attendees were invited to step inside the world of Aretha Franklin’s music with pre-show performances of her most iconic songs and a screening of episode 1 of Nat Geo’s Genius: Aretha. ✦ Following the screening, guests were remotely transported to the iconic Greek Theatre in Los Angeles where legend in the making Cynthia Erivo gave a performance of a lifetime.
✦ The hybrid screening took place online and in drive-through theaters around the country.
✦ Little Cinema produced the performances at The Greek Theatre and The Apollo Theatre, designed the virtual experience and all marketing collateral for the premiere event, produced the broadcast, and hosted the experience in our state-of-the-art Virtual Theatre.
