The immersive experience opens at Mercer Labs, Museum of Art and Technology (21 Dey Street, Lower Manhattan) as part of Summer Nights at Mercer Labs with Tribeca, running Thursdays through Sundays, June 19–July 13, 7–11 PM.
The ISM Hexadome is a one-of-a-kind screening installation that places audiences in the center of an immersive 360° audiovisual environment. Engineered by the Institute of Sound and Music Berlin (ISM), the Hexadome comprises six rear-projection cinema screens, a 52-channel Meyer surround sound system, and Panasonic Solid Shine™️ Laser Projection technology. Our work for De Niro Con is supported by ZKM Hertzlabor in Karlsruhe, Germany.
Little Cinema’s previous work with the Hexadome includes a feature-length six-screen adaptation of Darren Aronofsky’s MOTHER! (2017), as well as a reimagining of THE NEVERENDING STORY (DE, 1984) in collaboration with Konstantin Films. The Hexadome has also featured musical artists such as Brian Eno and Thom Yorke preparing custom spatial audio visual pieces.
